Encore Fitness Coaching
Valerie Stafford, M.S.
Fitness is my passion. I’ve been a certified group fitness instructor since 1986. I owned Bodywise, a fitness studio in Oak Harbor for 10 years, and also taught group fitness at Thrive Community Fitness in Anacortes, and Riverside Health Club in Sedro-Woolley. Since the early 1990s, I’ve taught wellness and physical education classes at Skagit Valley College.
It’s been a pleasure to work with many of you through the years and I hope we’ll continue to grow strong and healthy together!
Fitness has changed a lot in the last few years, as Boomers slide into their older years (myself included, of course!), and we are all so busy in this fast-paced life. Gone are the days of long gym workouts and high-impact cardio classes. Say hello to shorter, more intense workouts that focus on strength, balance and alignment. High intensity interval training and workouts with bars, bands and dumbbells can keep you young and energetic.
The way exercise is being shared has changed, too. To keep pace with clients who don’t have time (or don’t live near me), I’ve added virtual coaching to my services and now have the opportunity to work with people (here and everywhere) to get fit, lose weight, and enjoy healthy, active lives. I love online coaching ~ I think you will, too. Let me know if you want to hear how it works.
If you’re ready to get serious about your health and fitness, please consider starting (and sticking with) a safe, effective program of exercise and healthy eating. Life is too short. Let’s live it to the fullest!
